Dynamic NOMA-Based Computation Offloading in Vehicular Platoons

Both the Mobile edge computing (MEC)-based and fog (FC)-aided Internet of Vehicles (IoV) constitute promising paradigms meeting demands low-latency pervasive computing. To this end, we construct a dynamic NOMA-based computation offloading scheme for vehicular platoons on highways, where vehicles can offload their tasks to other platoon members. cope with rapidly fluctuating channel quality, divide timeline into successive time slots according channel's coherence time. Robust decisions are made each slot after taking estimation errors account. Considering certain slot, first analytically characterize both locally computed source data offloaded as well energy consumption every vehicle in platoons. We then formulate problem minimizing long-term maximum task queue by optimizing allocation communication resources. solve formulated, design an online algorithm based classic Lyapunov optimization method convex approximation (SCA) method. Finally, numerical simulation results performance our demonstrate its advantages over local orthogonal multiple access (OMA)-based scheme.
